Akhalgori Governor – Locals of occupied Akhalgori fear that if they get ill, they will not be rendered medical assistance
Nugzar Tinikashvili, Akhalgori Municipal Governor says that due to closure of the so-called checkpoint, a 70-year-old woman died in Tskhinvali because she was not provided by medical assistance.
According to Tinikashvili, locals of occupied Akhalgori fear that if they get ill, they will not be rendered medical assistance.
“I ask those who can resolve the problem and lift up limitations to free movement in direction of Akhalgori. Otherwise locals are in despair, they are frightened and all those, about 1200 people who live there, have the expectation that if they feel bad, they will die,” Tinikashvili said.
The woman was a local of Ikoti village, which is located 4 kilometers away from Akhalgori town.
