Ahali Chair deems UNM Chair's replacement as "turning politics into business"
“Political corruption and turning politics into business – Appointing managers and then their replacement in a political party like in LTD is Russian behaviour in Georgian politics,” said Nika Melia, former UNM Chair and Ahali party leader.
Nika Melia remarked on the resignation of Levan Khabeishvili as Chair of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party.
“Russian regime will not be defeated with Russian methods. An oligarch cannot be defeated with money. Informal governance will not be defeated with informal ruling style,” Melia wrote on Facebook.
Chair of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party, Levan Khabeishvili resigned from his position. Kbabeishvili named health problems as the reason for resignation. Tina Bokuchava will replace him in the post.
