Agriculture Minister meets Turkish Ambassador, Mustafa Türker Ari

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Davit Songhulashvili, has met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Georgia, Mustafa Türker Ari.

According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, during the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for further deepening trade and economic relations within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as investment opportunities in Georgia.

“Davit Songhulashvili also spoke about the significance of his recent working visit to the Republic of Türkiye and thanked the Ambassador for organising the visit to a high standard. The Minister stated that business meetings between the respective authorities contribute to deepening the existing partnership and developing new opportunities for cooperation.
The Minister spoke at length about agricultural products with export potential, drawing particular attention to Georgian hazelnuts, honey, and wine.

Discussions also touched upon the importance of deepening cooperation and sharing expertise in the agricultural, waste management, forestry, and mining sectors.

Mustafa Türker Ari stated that Georgia is an important partner for Türkiye and expressed full readiness for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, was also attended by Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze and the Head of the International Relations and European Integration Department, Davit Chitaishvili,” the statement noted.
