Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Davit Songulashvili is currently on a working visit to Rome.
According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, during the visit, Songulashvili will participate in the 44th Conference of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and deliver an address. Additionally, he is scheduled to meet with FAO Director-General QU Dongyu.
“The conference serves as a platform where ministers and high-ranking officials from FAO member countries can share insights on current challenges and discuss cooperative strategies to address issues in agriculture and rural development. The main theme of the 44th conference, attended by representatives from all 194 FAO member states and approximately 50 ministers, will focus on the current state of agri-food systems and prospects for future collaboration. The event will also feature thematic panels. Deputy Minister Lasha Dolidze accompanied Minister Songulashvili to Rome,” the Ministry stated.
