After counting 85% of the ballots, Volodymyr Zelensky leads with 73.20%
After counting 85 percent of the ballots in Ukraine, presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky has 73.20 percent of votes. According to the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, the current president of the country, Petro Poroshenko, received 24.46 percent.
According to local media, this result is unprecedented, since none of the candidates has previously received support of such a scale.
The Central Election Commission of Ukraine will announce the official results of the second round of the presidential elections on April 30.
The turnout was 62 percent. The Central Election Commission of Ukraine states that there were no massive violations at the elections.
