Adam Kinzinger: Georgian people want to go west. Leaders haven’t listened
Former U.S. Congressman Adam Kinzinger on Wednesday echoed the anti-foreign agents’ bill rally underway in Georgia, saying “The Georgian people want to go west. The leaders haven’t listened. ”
Georgians have been protesting for a second day against the so-called Foreign Agents bills that would require non-governmental and media organizations receiving more than 20% of their funding from abroad to register as “foreign agents.”
The rally kicked off on Tuesday after the Georgian Parliament passed a first reading of the legislation. To disperse the protesters, the police used tear gas and water cannon against them.
Massive protests in the nation of #Georgia protesting the terrible and Russian-friendly foreign agent law. The Georgian people want to go west. The leaders haven’t listened.
Freedom!
