Acting US Ambassador says Ukrainians and Georgians chose to strengthen ties with Euro-Atlantic community

Ukrainians and Georgians chose to strengthen ties with Euro-Atlantic community, said Acting US Ambassador to Georgia, Rian Harker Harris in a released video message.

According to Rian Harker Harris, Georgians know Russia well and know fatal consequences of the Russian aggression.

She said nobody exactly predicted how events would develop in Ukraine, but there was a big chance that Russia would attempt to find a pretext for the attack.

“If Russia makes that choice, the response of the United States and our partners will be sharp and decisive. We do not choose confrontation, we prefer to work together to fight the global pandemic and many other urgent common problems.

Diplomacy is the only rational way to resolve this conflict. We stand firm and together against Russian aggression,” she said.
