Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Anzor Margiani and Minister of Internally Displaced Persons of Abkhazia David Patsatsia held a meeting with the Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, during their working visit to Greece.
The discussions focused on strengthening existing ties and exploring future cooperation, with particular emphasis on supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Abkhazia. The parties agreed to expand joint projects aimed at assisting IDPs and promoting their involvement in cultural initiatives in Greece.
The meeting also addressed opportunities for raising international awareness about Abkhazia through cultural programs, as well as organizing familiarization and educational visits of Greek youth to Georgia.
“I thanked the Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, for his cooperation and support in organizing an international camp for IDPs from Abkhazia. I am confident that our partnership will continue to grow stronger,” said Minister David Patsatsia.
The meeting, held at Athens City Hall, was also attended by the Ambassador of Georgia to Greece, Levan Beridze, along with representatives of the Athens City Hall.
