Abkhazian Government Chair calls for reconciliation with citizens in occupied Abkhazia
“The time is near when we will forgive each other, reconcile, and once again take pride in one another’s traditions, culture, and courage,” Levan Mgaloblishvili, Chairman of the Abkhazian Government, stated during a government session held in Anaklia.
Addressing the residents of occupied Abkhazia, he emphasized the importance of reconciliation and understanding between communities.
“I want to address you in the Abkhaz language. I especially love this language because my mother is Abkhazian. As the newly elected Chairman of the Government of Abkhazia, born there and currently absent from you, I believe the time is near when we will forgive each other, reconcile, and once again take pride in one another’s traditions, culture, and courage.
What enmity destroys, love builds! Now is the time for love, for us to be together again and take big steps towards each other,” he declared.
