2026 Winter Olympics closing ceremony to be held in Verona – live on First Channel #1TVSPORT

The official closing ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in the ancient Roman amphitheater in Verona, Italy – the GPB First Channel will offer live coverage at 11:30 p.m.

The event titled Beauty in Motion will be held outdoors. According to the organizers, the ceremony will combine Italian culture, art, and modern technologies.

The most important protocol part of the closing ceremony is the symbolic ritual of handing over the Olympic flag.

The mayors of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo will hand over the Olympic flag to the President of the International Olympic Committee, who will, in turn, hand it over to the hosts of the 2030 Winter Olympics – representatives of the French Alps. It is from this moment that a new four-year cycle will begin.

Members of the Georgian delegation will also participate in the closing ceremony of the XXV Olympic Winter Games.

The 2026 Olympics were historic for Georgians, as our team won its first medal – in figure skating, Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava won silver in pairs.

Many records were set at the Olympic Games, and the Norwegian team, which won the most medals, did not give up the lead.
