Culture Minister introduces new Cultural Heritage Agency Director General Zaza Kvitsiani

Georgia’s Minister of Culture Maia Bitadze introduced Zaza Kvitsiani, the newly appointed Director General of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation, to the agency’s department heads.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Zaza Kvitsiani has many years of experience holding senior positions in the public service. Prior to his appointment as Director General of the agency, he served as Deputy Minister of Regional Development.

Maya Bitadze spoke about the important role of the agency in protecting cultural heritage, existing challenges and future priorities. The Minister emphasized the importance of increasing the agency’s efficiency, strengthening its professional team and implementing planned objectives in the field of cultural heritage protection.

The Minister thanked the agency’s employees and its former head, who will continue working at the agency as First Deputy Director General. She congratulated Zaza Kvitsiani on his appointment and wished him success in his new position.
