President Kavelashvili appoints Goga Kikilashvili as Constitutional Court judge
Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili has appointed Goga Kikilashvili as a judge of the Constitutional Court, the President’s Administration said.
According to the administration, under Article 60 of the Constitution of Georgia, the Constitutional Court consists of nine judges appointed for a 10-year term. Three judges are appointed by the President of Georgia, three are elected by Parliament by a majority of at least three-fifths of its full membership, and the remaining three are appointed by the Supreme Court.
Goga Kikilashvili will replace Giorgi Kverenchkhiladze at the Constitutional Court, whose term of office expires on October 2.
