Mehriban Aliyeva, the spouse of the President of Azerbaijan, visited the Georgian National Museum in Tbilisi, the Ministry of Culture of Georgia reported.

She was hosted by Tamar Bagrationi, the spouse of the Georgian President,  along with Georgia’s Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, Deputy Minister Giorgi Mirtskhulava, and Director General of the museum, Davit Lortkipanidze.

During the visit, Mehriban Aliyeva toured the museum’s permanent exhibition Stone Age Georgia, which showcases key archaeological discoveries from across the country. She also viewed the Archaeological Treasures exhibition, featuring valuable artifacts dating from the 3rd millennium BC to the 4th century AD.

As part of the visit, Mehriban Aliyeva donated five unique carpets produced by Azerkhalcha to the Georgian National Museum. The collection includes handwoven carpets created based on sketches by Azerbaijani artist Rufat Ismayil.
