“I am deeply shocked by the violence that almost claimed the life of US Presidential candidate Donald Trump. Violence should have absolutely no place in politics and I hope this terrible event will be an awakening point for all decent people to rally against extremism and radicalism.
I wish President Trump a swift and full recovery. My symapthies are with him and his family.
We stand with the American people!” Shalva Papuashvili wrote.
The incident took place during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, where Trump was shot in the ear. While his life is not in danger, one rally participant was killed, and two others are in grave condition. The FBI has labeled the event as an “assassination attempt” on Trump. The gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was killed by Secret Service agents at the scene.
