International Ski Federation Competition Director praises organization of Gudauri competition

The World Cup stage in the discipline of snowboard cross has concluded in Gudauri. The two-day competition featured around 90 athletes from 17 countries.

The winners of the tournament were announced as Charlotte Bankes from the UK, securing the first place in the women’s category, and Éliot Grondin from Canada, claiming the first place in the men’s category.

Uwe Beier , the competition director of the International Ski Federation (FIS), expressed satisfaction with the organization of the Gudauri competition. He praised the professionalism of the organizers and the excellent infrastructure, emphasizing the global promotion of the white mountains of the Caucasus. Beier stated that he is confident that this event will be the highlight of the entire season.

The Gudauri stage of the World Cup in snowboard cross took place on February 3-4, and the final stage is scheduled to be held in Bakuriani, in the Didveli area, on February 10-11.
