FM Baerbock backs Germany's move to list Georgia, Moldova as safe countries of origin

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock says she supports Germany’s coalition government’s move to list Georgia and Moldova as safe countries of origin.

According to her, on their way to the EU, the two countries have been enacting large-scale changes in the areas of rule of law, democracy, and human rights.

Germany’s government approved a bill by Interior Minister Nancy Faeser to list Georgia and Moldova as safe countries of origin on August 30.
