Speaker: We keep developing to build united, strong Georgia together with our Abkhazian, Ossetian brothers
We continue developing to achieve the cherished goal of building a united, strong Georgia soon, together with our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers and sisters, Shalva Papuashvili, the Georgian Parliament Speaker, wrote on Facebook.
“For 31 years, the indivisible land has been separated from the Georgian state. In the face of this challenge, Georgia remains steadfast in preserving its identity, freedom, and progress. Our efforts are dedicated to achieving the cherished goal of building a unified and strong Georgia together with our Abkhazian and Ossetian brothers and sisters.
The events that unfolded thirty-one years ago remain a personal tragedy for thousands of individuals, a profound trial for our nation, and the grimmest reality for our homeland, which we will never tolerate.
Our goal is simple; to walk on the path leading to the hearts of our brothers. With peace, love and forgiveness, we hope to heal the wounds of our homeland, progress together, and construct a harmonious coexistence. It is our primary national task today.
I am sure this day will definitely come, and August 14 will become a page in Georgia’s history to learn lessons from. It is our duty to turn this tragic page, allowing future generations to associate Abkhazia with the joy of victory and reconstruction rather than pain,” the Speaker declared.
