The 135th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was held in the village of Ergneti, Gori Municipality, where participants reviewed in detail all incidents recorded in the occupied region and areas adjacent to the occupation line since the previous meeting, the State Security Service (SSSG) reported.

According to the SSG, Georgian representatives once again strongly raised the issue of bringing to justice the representative or representatives of the Russian occupation forces responsible for the killing of Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi.

The meeting also addressed unlawful restrictions on freedom of movement and the regime in place at so-called crossing points.

Representatives of the central government once again condemned the illegal “borderization” process and firmly demanded the immediate release of all individuals held in illegal detention.

The meeting also highlighted the ongoing pattern of violations of fundamental human rights in the Russian-occupied Tskhinvali region.

The next IPRM meeting was scheduled for December 15, the SSSG said.
