The 134th meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) was held in Ergneti, a village in Georgia’s Gori Municipality.

According to Georgia’s State Security Service, the meeting reviewed in detail all significant incidents reported since the previous meeting in the occupied region and areas adjacent to the occupation line. The participants also discussed restrictions on freedom of movement and the regime in place at so-called crossing points.

“Representatives of the State Security Service once again strongly raised the issue of bringing to justice the representative(s) of the Russian occupation forces responsible for the killing of Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi and ensuring that justice is served.

Representatives of the central government once again condemned the illegal so-called borderization.

The meeting also highlighted the trend of violations of fundamental human rights in the occupied Tskhinvali region.

Representatives of the central government strongly demanded the immediate release of all persons held in illegal detention.

The next meeting of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism is scheduled for October 22,” the State Security Service said.
