The 133rd Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meeting was convened in the village of Ergneti, Gori Municipality.

According to the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG), participants conducted a thorough review of all key incidents recorded across the occupied region and along the occupation line since the previous session.

“State Security Service representatives firmly reiterated the demand for accountability and justice, insisting that the member or members of the Russian occupation forces responsible for the murder of Georgian citizen Tamaz Ginturi be brought to justice,” the SSSG stated.

“Central government officials once again condemned illegal so-called ‘borderisation’. A significant portion of the discussions was devoted to the unlawful restrictions on freedom of movement and the regime operating at so-called crossing points.

“Furthermore, particular emphasis was placed during the meeting on the escalating trend of fundamental human rights violations in the occupied Tskhinvali region.

Central government delegates strongly demanded the immediate release of all individuals currently held in illegal detention,” the SSSG said in a statement.

The next meeting under the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism has been scheduled for September 8, 2026.
