Strategy Aghmashenebeli leader: Saakashvili was and remains UNM's primary motor
“Misha (jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili) was and is the primary motor of the United National Movement,” said Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the opposition Strategy Aghmashenebeli party.
Giorgi Vashadze was asked to remark on the statement of opposition politician Gigi Ugulava, saying: “Nika Gvaramia, Director General of Mtavari Arkhi, was the primary engine of the United National Movement (UNM) party at all times even when jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili was not in Georgia.”
“The primary motor of the UNM is Mikheil Saakashvili, and everybody sees that. The UNM, together with Mikheil Saakashvili, has many engines. You can see that together with the UNM, we changed the course completely and returned people to politics. Today, more than ever, people are ready for change. The time for change has come. Together with the United National Movement, we will be the main player in the interests of the people, for Georgia to move forward. I tell you straightforwardly that the main engine was and is Misha,” he said.
