PM: Whole world motivated to return to life. We will all be ready to host tourists in Georgia together
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili together with King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain opened the International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR-2021 in Madrid where Georgia participates as a partner country.
“This international tourism fair is effectively a message heralding the world’s gradual return to normal life, and we, among others, must be ready to host tourists actively,” Georgian Prime Minister stated at the FITUR fair in Spain.
The Head of Government-accompanied by the World Tourism Organization’s Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili and members of the country’s executive and legislative branches-also familiarized himself with the Georgian tourism stand at the FITUR International Tourism Fair in Madrid.
According to the Prime Minister, vaccination, the epidemiological situation’s management, and citizens’ responsible attitude are key in this direction.
“It is a great honor to be featured in Spain, at the FITUR fair. As you know, the event showcases about 100 countries, including us in a prominent spot. This morning, we had an opportunity to enjoy this fair, after its opening, in the company of the King of Spain. In fact, this event is a message heralding the world’s gradual return to normal life, and we, among others, must be ready to host tourists actively. Of course, vaccination, the epidemiological situation’s management, and control, and our citizens’ responsible attitude are key in this direction. We are very optimistic, and the whole world is motivated to return to life as usual, and we will all be ready to host tourists in Georgia together,” Irakli Garibashvili said.
Georgia’s presentation stand allows international tour operators and agencies, and media representatives, to enrich their knowledge about Georgia’s tourist destinations.
The fair’s main video-screen offers visitors videos about Georgia, to learn more about Georgia’s tourism products. Banners displaying Georgia’s tourism potential adorn the international fair’s entrance and exit areas. Informative banners are installed on every sidewalk. This year’s international fair features almost 100 countries.
