Tbilisi City Hall addresses City Institute to present a reasonable timeframe for preparing the main development document for Tbilisi before the end of the day.

At the press conference held today, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze declared that Tbilisi urban development is the priority of the capital’s government.

“We promised the population to create a general plan of land use of Tbilisi which will provide sustainable development of the city. Effective general plan for land use is vital for the strategically proper development of the capital. General plan of land use is the most difficult and complex document, which consists of several direction, including regular and sustainable city development, stable economic growth, transport infrastructure, environmental issues, protection of the historical and cultural heritage “, – said Kaladze.

According to the Mayor, according to the agreement the decision making period for Tbilisi government to adopt a general plan elaborated by the City Institute expires today.
