Within the framework of the 27th OSCE Ministerial, the former, current and future chairs of the organisation Slovakia, Albania, Sweden, Poland and Macedonia have adopted a statement expressing their support to Georgia. They reaffirm their support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and express their unwavering support for the Geneva International Discussions.
“We reiterate our support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
We underline our concern over the continuing the deterioration of human rights situation in the Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
We express our unwavering support for the Geneva International Discussions in facilitating a peaceful resolution of this conflict. The Geneva International Discussions remains key international platform in this regard and the OSCE is ready to continue its leadership of this format, together with the EU and the UN” – The statement reads.
The Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Austria Ketevan Tsikhelashvili published information about this statement on her Facebook page. “Five former, current and future CiOs of OSCE expresses solid support for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia”, – Tsikhelashvili noted.
