G.J. was found guilty of premeditated murder of Davit Saralidze committed in a group
Tbilisi Court of Appeals announced the verdict into the murder case on Khorava Street. According to the court’s ruling, one of the defendants, G.J. was found guilty of the premeditated murder of Davit Salaridze committed in a group.
As for G.B, the lawsuit against him filed by the prosecution has not been satisfied and he was found not guilty with regard to Davit Saralidze’s murder. The Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the City Court and he was found guilty of the premeditated murder of Levan Dadunashvili.
At the same time, the court has extended prison sentence of G.J. and G.B. and both defendants were sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 11 years each.
Two school students – Davit Saralidze and Levan Dadunashvili were killed on Khorava Street in Tbilisi on December 1 of 2017.
Tbilisi City Court announced decision into Khorava Street case in May 2018. The court determined the sentences for the defendants of Khorava Street murder case, one defendant was sentenced to 10 years, 6 months and the second – 9 years and 9 months in prison. In particular, the defendant G.B., who was found guilty of the premeditated murder of Levan Dadunashvili and announced innocent with regard to Davit Saralidze’s case, was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment, but the term of the sentence was reduced by one-fourth and finally determined as 10 years and 6 months in prison. As for the second defendant G.J., who was found guilty of attempted murder of Saralidze, he was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment, but the term of the sentence was reduced by one-fourth and finally determined as 9 years and 9 months in prison.
