Structure:

“The Bookshelf” is a 4-stage game show. There are 9 literature rounds, 3 Georgian thematic rounds, 3 general knowledge rounds and a lightning round. The questions in each round test the young people’s logical thinking and general knowledge. There are various hints for each question. At the beginning of a question, the hints are quite vague and then gradually become more obvious. The questions may differ in terms of originality, creativity, informational content, and their hint style.

The 1st stage is the 9 literary rounds, which are called Character, Quote, Viewer, Miscellaneous, Video-Question, Association, Author, Film Adaptation and the Book. A correct answer to any of the 1st stage questions give 3 points, but if a player guesses in the extra 30 seconds, he/she earns 2 points. However, if the team gets the right answer using the host’s final hint after the time runs out, they get only 1 point.

The 2nd stage is the 3 rounds of Georgian thematic: Georgian History, Georgian Geography and Georgian Culture.

The 3rd stage is the 3 general rounds: Art, Science, and Sports. During the third stage, the competitors face each other one on one. An immediate right answer gives 2 points and there is no additional time or hint from the host.

The 4th stage is the lightning round in which a player selected by the team tries to answer as many questions as possible in one minute. In the lightning round, each right answer gains 1 point.

In the end, the team that earns the most points is declared the winner.
