Zurab Pololikashvili: Visit and invest in Georgia-best opportunities for investors
During a panel discussion, Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organization, highlighted the development of an investment guide published by the tourism organization, with active participation from the Produce in Georgia agency of the Ministry of Economy.
Pololikashvili explained that the UN World Tourism Organization established its investment department to assist countries seeking to attract direct foreign investments. He noted that creating this guide was essential, and the KAF Investment Bank played a crucial role in this process.
“We have developed a guide on how to engage with investors and effectively communicate why they should invest in the tourism sector. We consulted with member states, each with its unique geopolitical context, political views, and legal frameworks. Various initiatives were considered, and we compiled a list of countries that approached us with their investment plans, gradually developing this informative guide,” said Pololikashvili.
He also mentioned that around 20 similar guides have already been created for different countries worldwide.
“First and foremost, you should come to Georgia, and then you should invest here—these are the two best things an investor can do,” Pololikashvili urged the audience.
