Zonal hourly parking to kick off on Vazha Pshavela, Kazbegi Avenues
Zonal hourly parking on Vazha Pshavela and Kazbegi Avenues and Kavtaradze street in the Georgian capital Tbilisi will launch on May 1.
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said municipal pavilions for car registry have already been placed in the Saburtalo district.
City Hall will also allocate free parking spaces in those areas for locals, people with disabilities, electric car owners, and Category A taxis.
The zonal hourly parking will cover the whole city shortly, Mayor added.
The tariffs are different for A, B, C categories. The parking fee for the A category is GEL 1 per hour, the B category – GEL 2 per hour, and the C category – GEL 3 per hour.
Mayor added that 2,400 more parking lots would be added to the current 2,629 parking spaces.
