Zelensky - Compensation offered by Iran to each Ukrainian killed in plane crash not enough
“Iran has offered $80,000 in compensation to families of Ukrainian nationals who died in the plane crash near Tehran,” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on Sunday. Zelensky thinks “this amount of money is not enough.”
“A Human life cannot be measured by money. We will press for bigger compensation,” Zelensky stressed.
On January 8, Ukrainian International Airlines crashed minutes after takeoff at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport.
The crash killed all 176 people on board.
On January 11, Iran released a statement admitting the plane had been mistakenly shot down.
