Yet another representative of TI Georgia to be questioned within investigation into possible preparation of false IDs

Within the investigation into the fact of the possible preparation of false IDs for the purpose of selling off and usage the Deputy Executive Director of Transparency International Georgia Giorgi Oniani will be interrogated. Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia released the regarding information.

According to investigative agency, the Executive Directors of NGOs – Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association, Transparency International – Georgia and Fair Elections Eka Gigauri, Irma Pavliashvili and Mikheil Benidze have been already questioned.

“The employees of the Service Development Agency of the Ministry of Justice, who were nominated by NGOs at the press-conference and one representative of Transparency International Georgia, are also at the investigative agency for questioning.

According to the prosecutor’s office, NGO representatives could not name where and by whom the meeting was held, where they were informed about the possible illegal order. They, in fact, reiterated publicly-announced text and did not provide investigation with any important information“, – the statement of the Prosecutor’s Office reads.
