Yandex GO/Yandex Pro breach Personal Georgia's Data Protection Law

The Personal Data Protection Service on Monday said “Ridetech Georgia” LLC (Yandex GO/Yandex Pro), which provides taxi services via the Yandex GO (passenger) and Yandex Pro (driver), breached Georgian Law On Personal Data Protection.

“The investigation found out that the applications connecting to servers in the Russian Federation shared IP addresses with another state,” the agency reported.

The company was fined 4,000 GEL as an administrative penalty.
