Within framework of General Health Program tariffs for all clinics may equalize

The Ministry of Health plans to make existing tariffs equal for every clinic within the framework of General Health Program – Ekaterine Tikaradze, the candidate for post of Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs said during the expanded sitting of three parliamentary committees.

Tikaradze said that the amount of money paid by patients exceeds 20-22%, while the profit of the private sector – 35%.

Tikaradze explained that the proposed initiative of purchasing from the state budget on tariff principle will ensure quality and regulation of the market.

Tikaradze also announced that the government would transform onto the active management of hospitals’ sector during the next years that will make state medical institutions equally competitive to the private clinics.
