WHO Director-General thanked Georgian PM for statement made on World Health Day
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General World Health Organization (WHO) thanked Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia for the statement he made in connection with World Health Day on April 7.
“Thank you, Prime Minister Gakharia Giorgi, for sending such a wonderful message to the people of Georgia and especially to health workers on World Health Day yesterday. Together, against COVID-19! Solidarity!,” Director-General of WHO Tweeted.

Georgian PM called on everybody to stay at home and care about themselves and relatives. “Today, the whole world is facing the global pandemic regardless of how strong a country is economically. We are straggling for saving people’s lives and health. All countries and people are equal face to face with this problem,” PM said.
Gakharia said that the Georgian government would do its best to return to the normal lifestyle as soon as possible.
