Victim status assigned to photo reporter

An investigative body assigned the status of a victim to the InterPressNews photo reporter, Giorgi Nikolishvili, who was injured during the violence against media on July 5 in Tbilisi.

According to the Lawyer Nestan Lomdaridze, the photo reporter, attacked by the violent mobs, undergoes medical treatment at a clinic. He has injuries in his head.

Fifty-five persons, among them fifty-three media representatives, including the GPB cameraman, were assaulted during the anti-Tbilisi Pride rally on July 5, according to the Interior Ministry. Tbilisi Pride cancelled the scheduled march amid violent protests.
