Vice-Speaker Volski on UNM's statement: 'Khabeishvili tells falsehoods'

First Vice-Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Gia Volski has remarked on the statement by the Head of the United National Movement (UNM) political council, Levan Khabeishvili, saying that “The ruling party plans to bring 300-500 people to Georgia who are close to the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, for the October 26 elections.”

According to Khabeishvili, “Irakli Kobakhidze and Kakha Kaladze might have discussed this matter with UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in Germany.”

Volski denied the claims, noting that “meeting with Nurmagomedov as an outstanding athlete is no different from meeting with any other athlete.”

Vice Speaker believes Khabeishvili “is spreading false information.” “Khabeishvili tells falsehoods. Everyone understands that this is unrelated to reality.”

Volski expressed doubt that “society, even his supporters, would believe it.”
