Vice-speaker calls absurd opposition's claims that GD-organized rally could lead to confrontation

“Holding the rally was a response to the demands of a significant portion of society, and there is no question of aggression being involved,” said Gia Volski, the first vice-speaker of the parliament.

Volski stated that the opposition’s comments regarding the planned rally were an attempt to discredit the event.

“Opponents suggest that this event could lead to confrontation, which is absurd. Their statements aim to discredit the rally. The event is not only supported by political backers but also by individuals who recognize the importance of transparency, security, and stability in the country. Regarding Bidzina Ivanishvili’s participation. As the event is organized by the Political Council, the members of the party council, and naturally, Ivanishvili will attend the rally,” said Volski.

The Georgian Dream party issued a statement: “In response to the requests of our supporters, we will hold a public gathering in front of the Georgian Parliament on April 29.”
