Vice President of NATO Parliamentary Assembly: It is paramount that parliamentary elections are held under new system. We are here to support Georgia

“The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has been monitoring Georgian elections since 2016. We are working with the Council of Europe. We are here to support Georgia,” said Osman Askin Bak, Vice President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, who arrived in Georgia with other Assembly members to observe the upcoming elections.

As Osman Askin Bak pointed out, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly supports the Georgian people’s aspiration to Euro-Atlantic integration.

“It is very important that the parliamentary elections are held under a new system. We will observe elections in Tbilisi, after visiting several polling places, we will make a joint statement. The first assessment will be made on Sunday afternoon,” said Osman Askin Bak.
