Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, and European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, visited the Wind Electric Plant in the Shida Kartli region.
Implemented in 2016 with the EU financial support, the Minister described the project as an excellent example of Georgia-EU cooperation in the renewable energy sector.
Kadri Simson underlined that investing in Georgia in wind and solar electric plants is significant for the country to ensure uninterrupted trade with electric power for the entire year.
The sides pledged to continue cooperation in the renewable energy sector as one of the priorities of the Georgia-EU partnership.
