Vice PM attends strategic green energy meeting in Bucharest

First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, led a Georgian delegation at the eighth ministerial meeting on the Strategic Partnership in the Field of Green Energy Development and Transmission. The meeting took place in Bucharest, Romania.

In his address, Davitashvili emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership among Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Hungary, particularly in developing and transmitting green energy. He highlighted the Black Sea submarine cable project as a key component of this collaboration.

During the meeting, ministers of the four countries and a representative of the European Commission signed an amendment protocol to the agreement on strategic partnership for green energy development and transmission between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary. Additionally, an agreement was signed to establish a joint venture among the transmission system operators of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, and Hungary.
