US Senator welcomes imposition of visa restrictions on Georgia's leaders

The U.S. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller on Friday announced that the US has sanctioned “dozens” of Georgian individuals in its first tranche of sanctions.
“We are taking steps to impose visa restrictions on the Georgian Dream Party and others who are undermining democracy in Georgia. Georgia’s leaders should reconsider their actions and work to move forward with their nation’s long-stated democratic and Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” he said.
