US Government hands over Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System to Georgia
The US Government handed over the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) to Georgia to “enhance the realism of combat training for the Georgian armed forces.”
According to the US Embassy in Georgia, the equipment arrived on December 7 as part of the United States’ firm commitment to the U.S.-Georgian military partnership and will be distributed to the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC). MILES will enhance the realism of combat training for the Georgian Defense Forces.
“At a total cost of $4.3M, this program (funded with Title 22 grant assistance) includes the full complement of training, equipment, and administration,” the Embassy said.
