United National Movement member, Nika Melia, claimed on Sunday that “many in the opposition are interested in [ex-Interior Minister] Vano Merabishvili’s viewpoint not for the future of the nation but more to protect their own interests and increase their own power.”
In his Facebook post, Melia went on to say that “the time is different, the process is different, the protest is different, the people are different, and the result will definitely be different!”
“Feeding Russia’s and Georgian Dream’s propaganda is the worst service that can be rendered to the Georgian democratic movement and the varied community that is battling the regime,” Melia stressed.
Merabishvili earlier said that he was ashamed as Georgia was not participating [in war] and was not Ukraine’s ally.
Merabishvili also announced mass protest rallies to change the government into a pro-Western, pro-Ukrainian one.
