UNM's Bokuchava: President has prerogative to nominate technical gov't. We open to consultations

“The President has the prerogative to nominate the technical government; there was no discussion about specific names and surnames at this time,” said Tina Bokuchava, one of the leaders of the Unity-National Movement.

As Bokuchava stated, “Unity – National Movement adheres to the Charter and is always open to consultations.”

“Now, our primary objective is to achieve victory with our unity and together with the Georgian people. Following that, in collaboration with the President and other democratic, pro-Western parties, we will form a coalition government that will begin negotiations to join the European Union as soon as possible, and our country will become a worthy member of the European Union,” Bokuchava stated.

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Saturday said she would present a composition of technical government before the parliamentary elections and called on the four signatory opposition alliances to confirm their commitment to this part of the Georgian Charter.
