UNM Nadiradze criticizes GD for focusing on LGBT issues amidst economic hardships
“I don’t understand why Georgian Dream is focusing on LGBT issues when there are so many pressing problems,” said Irakli Nadiradze, a member of the opposition National Movement party.
Nadiradze emphasized that the main concerns of the population are hardship, unemployment, poverty, and the fact that hundreds of thousands leave their families every year.
“Our people are not interested in LGBT topics. The real issues are economic hardship and unemployment. As a father of four and an Orthodox Christian, I understand that many conservative voters in the UNM share these concerns. We meet people daily who are focused on these real problems, not on the issues being highlighted by the Georgian Dream. Let’s address the actual needs of our population rather than engaging in unnecessary propaganda,” Nadiradze stated.
