Sofo Japaridze, Chair of the Tbilisi branch of the United National Movement (UNM) and personal representative of Mikheil Saakashvili, along with Lasha Parulava, a member of the party’s political council, met with voters in the Didube district of Tbilisi.
“Tbilisi is preparing for victory, and Georgia is preparing for victory, a feeling that is palpable everywhere. We have spent the day meeting many people, and their message is clear: our country must adhere to a European path. We must eradicate poverty, address unemployment, and tackle the challenging conditions in Tbilisi—such as low wages, lack of jobs, and insufficient pensions. The people of Tbilisi deserve a dignified life. After October 26, we will guide our country and city toward Europe and celebrate victory together,” Japaridze stated.
Lasha Parulava emphasized that residents of the capital are particularly worried about rising prices and stagnant incomes.
“People in Tbilisi have awakened and are gearing up for October 26. The choice is clear: unity, European prosperity, accession to the European Union, support for strong families, protection for pensioners, increased incomes, and the eradication of the ‘price mafia.’ The citizens of Tbilisi are feeling the brunt of high prices and low wages. On October 26, we must put an end to this corrupt rule and confront all the challenges facing Tbilisi and its residents by moving towards Europe,” Parulava declared.
