UNM leader denounces foreign influence bill as obstacle to EU integration
UNM leader denounces foreign influence bill as obstacle to EU integration Georgian people aspire towards Europe, not Russia. Everyone saw the unity after the national football team qualified for the European Championship. Despite attempts to sow discord and stress among the people, we will prevail, Levan Khabeishvili, chair of the United National Movement, stressed.
According to Khabeishvili, any law adopted by the government should serve the people. “Let’s pose a straightforward question: Will the adoption of this law truly improve anyone’s life? Will it address the problems faced by even one person or family? What tangible benefits will materialize once this law is enacted? It seems that the only outcome is obstruction on the path to EU integration,” he said.
Khabeishvili attributed the push for this law solely to the interests of the ruling government, particularly Ivanishvili. He stressed that the Georgian populace’s desire lies in aligning with Europe, not Russia.
“Together, we will overcome the challenges posed by the Russian Dream and emerge victorious”, he concluded.
