“We should put away remote controls, turn off TVs and voice our opinions on Rustaveli Avenue,” Levan Khabeishvili, Chair of the opposition United National Movement, emphasized the importance of participation in the planned protest on April 28.
The UNM press office released the statement by the party’s chair.
“The protest will continue on April 28. Everyone must engage. Ivanishvili believes he can count the heads and determine numbers. We should put away our remote controls, turn off our TVs, and recognize that every Georgian’s place is on Rustaveli on April 28 to voice their opinions. I’m confident that power lies with the people, in unity, and Europe. In the end, we will prevail for the benefit of the Georgian people,” stated Khabeishvili.
