“Representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia are visiting our office to see the real political face of the Georgian Dream, the vandalism and violence which they committed in our office against our employees three days ago. It is significant for our partners to know what the pre-election period will look like,” said Petre Tsiskarishvili, Secretary General of the United National Movement (UNM) party.
The UNM Chair, Levan Khabeishvili, and UNM members Petre Tsiskarishvili, Tina Bokuchava and Zurab Chiaberashvili are meeting with EU and US Ambassadors and representatives of international organizations.
The UNM members will inform the diplomats about the attack by 80-90 individuals and the destruction of inventory and infrastructure in the party’s central office.
“We are the main target. The Georgian Dream sees an alternative force in us, and they aim, as Bidzina Ivanishvili (GD founder) declared, to destroy and make us vanish. But they will never succeed in reaching the target because we are preparing for victory. We don’t fear vandalism, attacks, or violence. We will be ready. At the end of October, we will defeat this government, and they will have to move into opposition or go home,” Tsiskarishvili said.
The opposition United National Movement (UNM) party’s central office was attacked on June 1.
