UNM Foreign Secretary: EU Parliament elections reveal main political forces maintaining influence, crucial for Georgia
Zurab Tchiaberashvili, Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the opposition United National Movement party, emphasized the significance of the European Parliament election results for Georgia, noting that the main political forces have retained their influence.
Tchiaberashvili, who attended the European Parliament elections, highlighted that the sustained influence of these political forces is crucial for Georgia as they support the enlargement of the European Union.
“The elections of the European Parliament showed that the main political forces retain their influence, which is very important for Georgia because they support the enlargement of the European Union. Now, the choice of the Georgian people is the most significant. Once the Georgian people replace Ivanishvili’s violent, Russian-aligned regime, the European Parliament elections will indicate that the Georgian people have a clear path to becoming EU members rapidly through reforms.
Here in Sweden, political forces that have supported Georgia unwaveringly for decades will naturally continue to support it,” said Zurab Tchiaberashvili.
