UNM elects National Committee Chair

The Congress of the United National Movement (UNM) elected Koba Nakopia as the National Committee chairman at the Congress on Saturday.

According to UNM Chair Tina Bokuchava, jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili proposed Nakopia’s candidacy.

Tina Boluchava also announced that European Georgia joined the Unity platform.

“Unity is not only a word or election slogan for us. It is an idea we have faith in. We believe that with unity we will win in this decisive election that will bring changes to our country. I am glad that the Unity-National Movement becomes stronger, with more force and energy, it will enter in elections through which our country will return to the European Perspective,” she said.
